Design Engineering Services Limited is a local, privately owned Engineering Services Company. The company was incorporated in 1987 and opened its doors for business in June 1989. The company is owned and operated by highly trained and competent nationals of Trinidad and Tobago. This results in flexibility and is an indication of the level of confidence that the shareholders have in this enterprise. The company is insured by Public Liability Insurance and Workmen's Compensation to limits of $1,000,000.00 for both on-shore and off-shore coverage. Workers also benefit from a Medical Insurance Plan and a Pension Plan.
The Company's commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is borne by the compulsory adherence to the Design Engineering Services Limited Safety Manual, its Non-Harassment Policy and the compulsory training of all workers in First Aid Techniques (Trinidad & Tobago Red Cross Society) which must be taken by all employees within their first year of employment as of 1996.

Engineering Consulting
Specializing in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems and High Voltage Design, the company also offers an extensive range of consulting services including Equipment Design and Upgrading.
Testing
The range of testing services covers annual maintenance type testing of high voltage equipment (Transformers, Cables, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Power System Disturbance Monitoring, etc.). All Testing performed are to the standard required by the Government Electrical Inspectorate.
Training
Training courses are run by the company specifically in the areas of:
• Power system component maintenance practice.
• Electrical system hazard evaluation.
• Safe operating practices in high voltage installations.
Specialized in-house training is also offered on request.
Project Supervision
Design Engineering Services Limited offers project supervision services for both Design and Contracting works. Contracting project supervision is done mainly for its subsidiary company Design Engineering Contractors Limited. This is a general contracting company which utilizes the project management services offered by Design Engineering Services Limited.
